OM is facing Montpellier early tomorrow (8am NYC time), in a crucial game for the season. OM, with a win, can pull within 5 points of second place (Angers). With the recent run of form, OM is coming into this game full of confidence. Key improvements in the past few weeks:
-The team has been scoring more, with Cabella and Nkoudou playing really well of late.
-The midfield has seen increased stability with the inclusion of Isla next to Diarra.
-The defense (besides against Monaco) has been playing a little better. Mandanda has rediscovered his top form, single-handedly preserving a victory against Rennes with several key stops.
However, Montpellier is no push-over. The Languedoc team always plays well against OM. With Rolland Courbis, their manager, having close-ties to l’OM, you can expect his team to be well-prepared. With last week’s 4-2 victory in Lyon, MHSC is coming into Marseille ready to add to that series. Let us hope l’OM is up to the challenge.
Dja Djédjé – Nkoulou – Rekik – Mendy
Isla – Diarra
Sarr – Cabella – Nkoudou
I think Sarr deserves a chance, especially with Ocampos’ struggles. He has pace, and has made an impact off the bench earlier in the season.
Bon match, et Allez l’OM !
