SM Caen – OM Preview and My Lineup

OM is facing off with 4th-placed Caen, looking to avenge their opening defeat against them in August. Caen has been one of the surprises of the season, playing well and staying in the running for a Champions League spot. OM, after a horrid first half of the season, is looking to start the New Year off on the right foot. Missing Alessandrini, Romao, Dja Djédjé, Nkoudou, and Cabella will certainly affect OM, but it will give younger minots like Zambo and Maxime Lopez a chance to play. I hope Michel finally gives these young players a chance, as how else will they improve? Bielsa showed them confidence and at times they delivered. With this season appearing more and more like a turbulent year, giving youth academy products time on the field could jump start the season. I predict a 1-1 tie, where OM will play solid defense but struggle in offense without key playmakers. Batshuayi (who else) will score, in my opinion.

My Lineup

Mandanda

Manquillo – Nkoulou – Rekik – Mendy

Isla – Diarra

Lopez – Barrada – Ocampos

Batshuayi
